Resume Writing Tips
No matter what, your resume needs to be consistent. People like consistency because it makes all of the information easier to understand.
Don’t include a lot of graphics or pictures on your resume. You want the content to be the main star of the show, so focus on crafting excellent content and showcasing your best qualities to the potential employer.
You also want to try and include various pieces of experience you have. Don’t be a one-trick pony; instead, show off all of the different leadership skills, internships, projects, freelancing, or anything else that may be pertinent in your resume.
With that being said, don’t get off-topic either. You want to focus on your best qualities and skills, so a strategy is needed here. Think about what you think the employer wants to see and go from there.
You also don’t need to worry about the pesky cover letter, by the way, because most employers don’t even read them. Focus on your resume.
Lastly, make sure that you have a clean, visually appealing resume. It should be easy to scan and understand. You should utilize bullet points, and be sure to choose a legible, professional font.
